With Halloween just around the corner, several car washes are preparing for a terrifying spectacle. From horror figures roaming the car wash to child-friendly ghost experiences, car washes throughout the Netherlands are putting their creativity to work to offer customers a thrilling experience. In this article, we highlight some eye-catching Halloween activities, from the Scar wash in Nijmegen to a horror circus in Harderwijk.

ANAC Scar wash on October 30 and 31 is not for cowards. On these days, customers will have a chilling Halloween experience at ANAC Car wash Nijmegen’s car wash. Horror character Scar promises a ride through the car wash “where the brushes have been replaced by knives and the suds are dripping with blood. Visitors can tune in to ScarRadio on 99.9 FM during their wash to be fully immersed in the experience. For those who like things a little less creepy, there will be a special Halloween Kidsproof Experience on Oct. 31. The Scar wash will then be transformed into a kid-friendly haunted experience from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and free vacuuming at the wash bays during these hours.

As the sun sets, darkness takes over at Bubbles Car wash in Nederweert. On Oct. 25, the car wash will be turned completely upside down during their Scary Night, with terrifying ghouls and thrilling characters appearing everywhere. Due to the limited number of tickets available, it is recommended to order them early via the website.

At Autoradam Almere, there are four Halloween Creepy Days on which customers receive “creepy discount” on the car wash. This discount applies to both the best car wash program in the car wash and the interior job. On the action days – Oct. 26, 27, 30 and 31 – actors will walk around between 2 p.m. and 10 p.m. to scare visitors. The employees of the car wash are also dressed up (see photo).

One step further

At SchippersStop’s 50-meter car wash in Veldhoven, the images speak for themselves. ‘Last year we scared the hell out of everyone with our Halloween Car wash,’ the car wash proudly reports on social media. ‘This year we are taking it a step further and taking horror to a whole new level with The Madhouse of Shine. Prepare for even more scares, suspense and surprises.” The Madhouse of Glans takes place on Oct. 31.

Mega Car wash Emmeloord is bringing Halloween back to life in the car wash on Oct. 25. “Do you dare to wash your car?” is the challenging question the car wash asks its customers. Like last year, visitors can drive through the terrifying “Tunnel of Terror,” with Mega Car wash offering a special Halloween wash program: the most extensive wash for 12 euros instead of 19.50 euros, including a goodie bag. “We’re packing big, so hopefully you’ll come take a look. Or don’t you dare?” said Mega Car wash.

Niels Autowas normally organizes its horror party in Assen, but this year the horror circus is moving to the car wash in Harderwijk. On October 25 and 26, this location will be transformed into a Halloween experience, offering the best wash program at a special rate of 16 euros.

No Halloween at ‘t Vosje

Car wash ‘t Vosje has announced that there will be no Halloween event this year. “Due to the incident with our co-worker last month, we do not feel it is appropriate at this time,” said their message on social media. Last month, an employee of ‘t Vosje was seriously injured in an accident in the car wash. On Facebook, the decision was met with understanding. “We know that many of you look forward to this annual, exciting outing, but this year it is unfortunately not possible to continue this tradition. We hope for your understanding and look forward to hosting another spectacular Halloween in the future,” the car wash announced.
