Car wash entrepreneurs who want to increase their sales can expand their services into the more upscale or premium segment. So says Sabine van Meenen, a Belgian coach for entrepreneurs. Since 2005, she has been coaching entrepreneurs to grow into more extra turnover without working harder.

Car wash entrepreneurs who want to increase their turnover can bet on the premium segment. “There is always a premium segment of customers who are happy to pay more provided they are pampered extra,” says Sabine van Meenen. “Why isn’t there a car wash company that will pick up the car at the customer’s home, wash it inside and out and bring it back? As a result, you are completely unburdened. You have customers who just don’t have time or desire to bring the car and wait. It may not exist yet. There’s definitely a market for it. A certain type of customer definitely wants to pay extra for that.”

How can you get more revenue from your product sales?

But there are other possibilities, says van Meenen. “For example, car wash owners could also sell products. Think shampoo, all kinds of car accessories, snacks, or drinks or maybe a mini brasserie where they can enjoy a customer and ready lunch while they wait…. There are lots of possibilities. Someone who handles this well can certainly increase their sales. If you give good service, you may charge a good price. A customer loyalty system, with a subscription, also works very well. With that you can already give something extra, such as a discount or gift to loyal customers. Because it is easier to sell a lot to the loyal customer than to attract a brand new customer.
