Brushtec, a company based in the Czech Republic, is celebrating 30 years in the industry this year. The company participated in the Shine Car Wash Show in Krakow, where it showcased its latest innovations. Brushtec manufactures brushes for all major car wash brands on the market, including WashTec, Istobal, Christ, Ryko, and Aquarama, Bitimec.

At the Shine Car Wash Show, Brushtec introduced its new Belt Brush, which became a key highlight of the event. This innovative brush uses significantly less plastic, making it lighter and more eco-friendly compared to traditional brushes. “Our goal is to be more sustainable,” says Petra Madde, Managing Director of Brushtec. “During development, we focused on reducing plastic waste, which continues to burden our planet. By eliminating unnecessary materials, we are able to offer the Belt Brush at a competitive price without compromising the quality or quantity of the cleaning material.” The result is a product that is more affordable, high-quality, innovative, and environmentally friendly.

Weight Reduction

The Belt Brush’s structural and fastening materials weigh only 4.5 kg for a complete set, a significant reduction compared to the 40 kg of the original Istobal system for a 2-meter wash height. This reduction not only lowers plastic consumption but also lightens the load on the car wash system, improving efficiency. Belt Brush was designed and developed by the company founder and owner, Miroslav Buršík.

Easy Installation and Long Lifespan

Technicians can easily install the Belt Brush, taking approximately 5 to 10 minutes for 2-meter shafts. The brush can be replaced at any position without the need to remove other brushes or even the entire shaft. After five years of development, Brushtec has successfully deployed its brushes in car washes across Poland, Spain, Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. The Belt Brush is designed for grooved shafts with a 120 mm diameter and, starting in 2025, for shafts with a diameter of 91 mm.

Technical Specifications of BrushTec’s Brushes:

  • Efficiency: Economic, durable (up to 50,000 wash cycles)
  • Fibre profile: 3Ă—7 mm, 3Ă—9 mm, 4Ă—4 mm + Lamela, X-profile bristles, 8mm textile, or mixed materials
  • Colours: Available in 11 colours
  • Compatibility: Car wash systems with shafts 68 to 130 mm in diameter

New Foam Brushes: LAMELA

Brushtec has also developed new LAMELA foam brushes. This unique foam pattern is highly effective and designed to handle the toughest vehicle cleaning challenges. The LAMELA brush is very durable and excels at cleaning the most problematic areas, such as heavily soiled front ends and windshields, especially when contaminated by insects – a challenge for traditional materials.
